Screen printing is a technique in which the ink is directly applied to the surface that is to be printed and this surface is called substrate. The image that is to be printed is transferred photographically to the screen in such a way that the areas not be printed is blocked and the fabric is used as a stencil. A roller moves across the screen stencil, pumping ink over the threads of the woven net in the open areas.
Silk screening or serigraph also involves screen printing. In this, the stencil method of the print making imposes a design on the screen of silk or any other fine mesh and the empty areas are covered with an impermeable substance while the ink is put on the printing surface through the mesh. The silk printing was the traditional method but now it has been replaced with the polyester for screen painting.
During the reign of Song dynasty in China, the screen printing appeared in the recognizable form. Japan and other Asian countries started using this printing method and advanced it further by using this in conjunction with paints and block printing. Asia introduced screen painting to the Western Europe in the late 1700s but screen painting was not used widely in the Europe due to unavailability of silk mesh here and it started gaining wider acceptance when silk mesh on trade with Asia became easily available and also, other mediums that could be used were developed.

How do you get the perfect Valentines gifts? Well the first thing is that you can tell the difference between quality and crummy. Quality is an essential part of getting the right gift. The material used and the finish on the gift communicate your feelings.
A well made gift has a certain feeling, you can almost feel the quality. Jewelry out of great materials like gold and silver can communicate your feelings. Quality can be an extension of your emotions for your dear one.
Another thing about a great Valentine’s Day gift would be something that reminds your sweetheart of a special moment you have shared together, such as a picture from a special date, your wedding or anniversary, mounted in a special frame.
Did you ever see the wedding proposal’s on the big screen at a baseball game? Or the airplane skywriting it across the sky? Well Valentines success can be the same in that the delivery is important. Put your gift in a velvet box, or dress up and deliver it at an unusual time of day.

Button badges and clothing are examples of excellent promotional or corporate gifts. These materials are effective because of the large exposure they receive, especially at big events. If they are given out at large company functions, sporting events, at the beach, or any other place where a lot of people will gather, they are the most perfect way to promote your company or brand.
Company sponsored events go automatically with corporate gifts like button badges. If you are planning a big community event (like a fun run, company picnic or big walk), you should know there should be enough button badges and promotional clothing to be given out. It is usual that people who attend such events usually expect that they will be given gifts such as button badges & other promotional products. They usually end up thinking badly of your company if they do not get such items.
Button badges and name tags portray an important role. They not only draw attention to your logo; people at the event are easily identifiable as well. If you create a button badge or name tag, put your logo on it. This not only gives you an opportunity to advertise your brand; it also makes everybody feel that they are part of the same event.

Printing is a process of creating images and text, normally using ink, paper and a printing press. Over time, printing technology has developed significantly. Various techniques are available, but screen-printing is used most of the time.
Screen-printing, also referred to as silk screening, is a method that is best for surfaces that are comparatively flat. In this process, fine mesh or a screen is tightly stretched over a rigid frame, with the screen masking areas which will not be printed. In order to make a print, the screen is placed atop the item that is to be printed; then a blob of thick ink is applied. Next the ink is pressed through the screen with the assistance of a squeegee. The ink adheres to the unmasked area, thereby creating the print, and the masked area is shielded from ink incursion. After this, the printed item goes through a heated tunnel that dries the ink so that items can be stacked or put into packages.
When a multi-color print is made, the procedure is performed again, changing screens. Thus, multi-color prints necessitate multiple screens positioned on a rotary press or performed manually, aligning the various colored prints in conjunction.

Christmas time is here! It’s time to figure out the best toys to get for that special girl or boy on your Christmas list. What is one to do? With all the choices via the television, or the radio, or the newspaper, or the web, or the “you fill in the blank”, it leaves one in a state of confusion. No worries, we are here to help you navigate the cloudy waters of Christmas gift giving, and help you find those finest Christmas toys. Here are our top three picks:
It seems that everywhere we go these days “Guitar Hero” is there as well. It seems that every boy and girl is playing this game these days. It’s basically a game where you listen to your favorite songs, and click on this little input device in rhythm with the lyrics (very simplistic I realize). With so many kids addicted to this game, what are they supposed to do when they are away from home? “Miniature Guitar Hero” is here to provide some relief. In a nutshell, it’s a miniature version of the real thing. Battery operated, it’s only 6″ long, and with a fold-down neck for easy transport, you can take it almost everywhere (but not underwater). It has 5 wav tone buttons and a “whammy bar” to sustaaaaaaaain those long notes. It comes packed with some of the hit songs from Guitar Hero I and Guitar Hero II…songs like: (1) Smoke on the Water, (2) Killer Queen, (3) You’ve Got Another Thing Coming, (4) and Surrender. If you are just a beginner, or a real pro, this little item will be able to fit your level…it has 5 levels of play available. Be sure to give this little gem a look over…

If you wait until the last minute to decide what to buy, you may have a hard time finding that great gift. Use these tips to make the job a little more merry:
Remember Your Shopping List
Categorizing your list in order of casual friends, coworkers, and closest loved ones can help you narrow down what particular gifts to give them. You’ll be able to determine a general idea of what you need to buy, and narrow your list down to specific groups of people.

The laws of the land, most commonly set an age for purchasing an airsoft gun. The most common age is twelve, however there are some models available which use soft ammunition which can be purchased by an eight year old. Either way, the purchase and use of air soft guns need to be treated with the same respect as a real live firearm. Airsoft guns can be a good source of recreation and every child should have the oppertunity to own and operate them.
First, the child should be able to select which type of gun he or she desires. Then it is the parents decision if the gun is a good choice. The key is to use your experience judgment to help the child choose which gun would suit him or her the best. The size of the child becomes a huge factor.
In most cases, when a gun like this is used for protection of the home, there is no fatalities as a result. The guns can be very powerful though, and are able to kill small animals and hurt people that are not intended to be on the property. The recommendation is not to shoot this type of gun at any person, unless harm is the intention of the invader. Then or course, aim for the body, these guns will take out an eye.

As a parent, a child’s safety is an important concern. When a child is shown the proper use of airsoft guns, the use becomes fairly safe if all areas of how this type of gun can harm them. Kids learn mostly by the information their parents or guardians give them. Teaching kids the possible ways airsoft guns can hurt them, is the key to using the guns safely.
These guns are available in most department stores, and vary in size and cost. Those cheaper versions usually average about twenty dollars for just the gun, and sometimes there is a small amount of ammunition included in the package. There are pistols as well as rifle replicas available.
Once the gun is purchased, a parent that is teaching a child to shoot may want to purchase some paper targets, or simply use aluminum cans as targets. The type of target that can be used will depend on the power of the gun that has been purchased. Some of these guns have a mechanism that is used to increase the amount of air pushed through the barrel by continuous pumping of the gun.

Google, the internet search giant, has been found guilty of infringing French copyright law by a court in Paris. French publishing house, La Martiniere, was awarded the sum of 300,000 Euros (equivalent to $ 430,000). Google must also pay an additional 10,000 Euros ($ 14,000) each day until the book extracts are withdrawn from Google’s database. The action was initiated by the French Publishers’ Association, as author’s group and La Martiniere.
The size of the final settlement is trivial for Google – but there may yet be implications for Google’s plans to scan and make available online as many of the world’s books as possible. Google is currently in the process of scanning and digitising pretty much any book it can get its hands on. Out of copyright books are made available in their entirety. Books which remain in copyright either have snippets of them made available online or have the whole book made available under a licensing scheme.
Google’s project to establish a worldwide digital library has seen it in court before. In 2001, a class action was filed by the Authors Guild, the Association of American Publishers and a number of individual publishers and authors who alleged that Google had breached copyright law by failing to seek the copyright holder’s permission in all instances prior to scanning books from university libraries.
